Harlequin Paints
PPG, our primary paint supplier, recently released a line of paints that they call Harlequin. This new technology incorporates the use of multiple metallic colors into one paint formula. The end effect is a deep metallic paint which appears to change colors as the viewing angle changes.

We have had an exceptionally hard time portraying this paint in a photograph, because the color changing effect relies on stereoscopy. Nevertheless, these photos help to get the idea across.

Believe it or not, the colors in the top image are the same colors in the bottom image. They are positioned with the light hitting them differently, and show a different color.

Pictures just don't do this paint justice. But because of the new technologies and limited use of this paint, it is more expensive. Harlequin colors can add up to $250 to the cost of a regular paint job, but we have to admit that PPG has created a spectacular, if pricey, product. Many of our past customers who wanted something very unique for their bike found that this was just the thing.
